Noida-based Mounee Insulting Consulting Services posted a JD (job description) for a data analyst with at least 4 years of experience who is adept with SQL and fluent in Hindi. It unashamedly mentioned at the bottom of the LinkedIn Post that South Indian candidates are not eligible for the post. Bold of them to assume South Indian or North East Indian candidates can not read, write, or speak Hindi, which is not even the official language of India.

The job posting by the Mounee Consulting Service has since been removed after the massive backlash and bezati on social media. Meanwhile, the company posted a lame excuse of getting hacked and corrective measures being deployed.
Reactions poured in on social media, with netizens airing their concern about such discriminatory behavior by companies based out of North India. “Ab toh job mein bhi discrimination ghus gaya,” wrote one, while another user remarked, “Desh ka dushman desh ke andar he hai.” One user jibed, “Who wants to go to AQI 999 cities and cut short their life span by 10 years?” Another netizen quipped, “Are you hiring a programmer or someone who can perfect a paneer butter masala recipe?” “But why the job posting in English?” several netizens were left wondering.

Job Posting in English,
But Should be Fluent in Hindi, Verbal and Written. As if they will be typing the codes in Hindi. 🤷🏾There are so many South Indians fluent in Hindi that the Recruiter won’t even be able to identify them. https://t.co/d3Be3xYIbe
